Amazon, Senior Copywriter

Craft compelling articles and ad copy across Bloomberg, Axios and Politico promoting Amazon’s network of independent sellers. Dig up compelling insights from Amazon data to shape the opinions and behaviors of business and government decision-makers.

Bloomberg LP, Senior Creative Content Lead

Developed content ideas and thought starters for Bloomberg’s roster of Fortune 500 clients. Ideated and executed best-in-class creative content across a range of mediums and platforms, including data storytelling, animated videos, podcasts and mini-documentaries.

January 2022 - January 2023

Ceros, Lead Content Designer/UX Writer

Managed a team of copywriters, designers and creative strategists to craft award-winning, game-changing digital content using Ceros’ no-code SAAS design platform. Married science (data insights, user research) and art to uncover clients’ business needs and create new opportunities for ground-breaking interactive content across platforms (including mobile and social). Led pitches and workshops on industry, tech and storytelling trends.

May 2019 - December 2021

Ceros, Senior Content Designer/UX Writer

Led creative direction on projects and presented creative concepts in client meetings. Worked with UX and interactive graphic designers to create award-winning websites and mobile experiences. Hosted webinars and in-person training on everything from visual storytelling to industry trends. 

October 2016 - October 2018

OZY Media, Head of Branded Content

Tasked with launching OZY’s creative studio, I built a roster of creative strategists, writers, editors, video and podcast producers and illustrators to create compelling, innovative and award-winning content for a range of prestige brands. Notable projects included creating award-winning podcast and video series for Chase Auto, Ally Bank and Discover Student Loans, and Webby-nominated interactive websites for Netflix and Hulu. I also oversaw the pre-sale process, working with sales and external agencies to respond quickly to RFPs with bold and inventive ideas that won OZY awards and renewals. I also managed execution of content and managed budgets and hires as the studio grew.

July  2012 - October 2016

CNN International, Lead Digital Producer

Oversaw editorial for several multi-year sponsored campaigns, managed
a team of writers and freelancers, and devised social strategy. I also collaborated with CNN’s design, video, dev and social teams to create innovative approaches to storytelling. Under my supervision, one of the campaigns I led became the most-viewed branded campaign across CNN. 

November 2010 - July 2012

Freelance Travel Journalist

Wrote news, travel and lifestyle features for a range of publications in the UK and US, including The Daily Mail, Time Out, Zagat and Metro. Freelance guidebook editor for GuidePal, a free travel app with 2.5m downloads.

June  2008 - November 2010

Time Out Dubai, Food + Style Editor

Managed editorial for the food, style and beauty sections of the weekly city guide magazine and wrote all style- and beauty-related cover features. I also edited Time Out’s most profitable guidebook for two years running -- the 300-page Eating Out guide to Dubai, which encompassed more than 1,000 capsule reviews. 

March  2007 - June 2008

Managed features budget and built a roster of freelance writers, commissioned and edited feature stories daily, and worked with the video team to create original online content to accompany print features. I also launched several popular columns, including career change column “180 Degrees,” which was picked up and turned into a local television news segment.
